The Republic of Texas Biker Rally announces its Saturday night headliner, ZZ Top at the 24th annual rally held June 7 -10th at the Travis County Expo Center. “We have had many legendary bands at the Rally, but every year without fail our customers have asked for ZZ Top,” says Owner Jerry Bragg. “We have been working on getting them here and are thrilled to say they will be our headliner in 2018.” The band is scheduled to play Saturday, June 9th, 2018. Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 11th at 10AM CT at www.rotrally.com. ZZ TOP a/k/a “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas,” lay undisputed claim to being the longest running major rock band with original personnel intact and, in 2004, the Texas trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Of course, there are only three of them – Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard — but it’s still a remarkable achievement that they’re still very much together after more than 45 years of rock, blues, and boogie on the road and in the studio. “Yeah,” says Billy, guitarist extraordinaire, “we’re the same three guys, bashing out the same three chords.” The elements that keep ZZ TOP fresh, enduring and above the transitory fray can be summed up in the three words of the band’s internal mantra: “Tone, Taste and Tenacity.” Of course, the three members of the band have done their utmost to do their part in assuring that ZZ TOP prevails. As genuine roots musicians, the members of the band have few peers. The show will be packed with classic hits like “Gimme All Your Lovin,” “Cheap Sunglasses,” “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers” and much more. This year, the Republic of Texas Biker Rally is expanding the ticket options to include Day Passes, along with the 4-Day pass and RV pass. A limited number of single-day tickets will be made available at a later date that permit all-ages access to the festival for persons 13 years and older.
