Announcing Motorcycles As Art Builder and Artist Lineup

Sturgis, SD (May 5, 2025): The Sturgis Buffalo Chip just released a preliminary roster of celebrated builders, artists and features for its 2025 Motorcycles As Art Exhibition. This legacy program, created by the famous photographer Michael Lichter, is now curated by Kevin Dunworth and Savannah Rose and is in its 17thyear. This unique exhibition, which exists nowhere else in the world, will be held at the Buffalo Chip’s Event Center for seven days only during the 85th Sturgis Rallyanniversary. Motorcycle fanatics and art lovers can explore the gallery Saturday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Aug. 8 from 3 p.m. to midnight. The 2025 exhibition is free to the public and will feature the following activities and displays.

 

  • Newly unveiled custom motorcycles by prestigious and internationally known builders
  • Unveiled works of wall art by legacy and up-and-coming artists
  • Live welding and painting demonstrations
  • An imaginative helmet display featuring Dirty Dozen Helmets from Torc Helmets
  • A personal collection of images curated by Billy Lane of Choppers Inc
Motorcycles As Art is the place to see newly unveiled custom motorcycles and artwork for public viewing for the first time.
