When: THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 2015, 3 P.M.

Where: STURGIS BROWN HIGH SCHOOL

The “Godfather” of custom baggers, star of HISTORY’s Biker Battleground: Phoenix, Paul Yaffe, will be visiting Sturgis Brown High School this Thursday at 3 p.m. as part of the Buffalo Chip Challenge program. Yaffe will conduct a workshop with a team of students who have been working to customize a 2014 Harley-Davidson Road King. Yaffe brings with him the undisputed king of motorcycle turbos, Nick Trask of Trask Performance. The two motorcycle industry giants are part of a team of superstars who have volunteered to instruct Black Hills area students interested in a career in motorcycle customization.

Yaffe and Trask will be meeting with, and personally instructing, the students in the Sturgis Brown High School industrial arts shop just in time to help them prepare their Harley-Davidson Road King, which has an estimated completion that is significantly behind that of the Indian Cheiftan, for the famed Donnie Smith Show in Minneapolis. They have promised a surprise for the team designated as “Team Yaffe.” Fellow Biker Battleground star, John Shope of Dirty Bird Customs visited the program last January, instructing his team of students on the customization of the Indian. Students also watched as Shope burned a peace symbol into the parking lot with Yaffe’s Harley Davidson. Shope and Yaffe are well known rivals and have a reputation for pulling pranks on each other.

All parties will be available for interviews.

All members of the press are invited.
