LAS VEGAS, July 19, 2016 – Las Vegas BikeFest announced the creation of a specific area in Rally Central called “Adventure Land” for this year’s rally.
“Adventure Land” is sponsored by Great Southwest Moto Adventures. Adventure Riding is for those that love to discover, explore and experience amazing places both on and off-road. This special area will include vendors with parts and services for Adventure motorcycles, a bike area showing the latest bikes, and experts to talk to Las Vegas BikeFest attendees about the new experience of Adventure Riding. There will also be a self-guided ride on Sunday, October 2.
The “Adventure Motorcycle Segment” is still and has been the fastest growing segment of the motorcycle industry in recent years. Adventure motorcycles are designed for on-road and off-road use. Many gravitate to the sport as part of the natural evolution of a motorcycle rider since 95 percent of the roads in the world are unpaved. Therefore, if you are a street rider, you only get to see 5 percent the world has to offer. Examples of the motorcycles used are the BMW 1200GS, Yamaha Super Tenere, Honda Africa Twin and Triumph Tiger, among others. Fully loaded panniers allows a rider to camp and explore for long periods of time with the greatest need only being a new tank full of gasoline.
“Great Southwest Moto Adventures is happy to be involved with Las Vegas BikeFest to share the passion for adventure with others. After riding for over 45 years in the Southwest, we know the best places off the beaten path and love to share our passion and yearning for discovery with others” says Curtis Cummings, Founder and CEO of Great Southwest Motor Adventures.
Las Vegas BikeFest 2016 will be held September 29 – October 2, 2016 in the heart of downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street East. Registration will be held at the headquarter hotel, the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino on the world-famous Fremont Street Experience. More information regarding vendor space, event registration and official hotels can be found at www.LasVegasBikeFest.com or by calling 1-866-BIKEFEST (1-866-245-3337)
