Get Your Kickstart on Route 66

Known as the “Mother Road” and “Main Street USA,” few roads in America are as iconic as U.S. Route 66. Take a ride with John Alger on his kickstart-only 1978 Yamaha SR500 as he follows Route 66 from Chicago, Illinois, to Amarillo, Texas. In Illinois, he stops in Joliet (home of the prison featured in The Blues Brothers), Wilmington (home of the Route 66 Creamery), and Springfield (the state capital and Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace).
