While everyone else from ITN was either enroute to, or already out in Sturgis, last Saturday I spent a great summer afternoon enjoying an antique bike show in the nearby (60 miles away) town of Mercer, PA. Paul Greenwood of the local AMCA chapter was able to get a slew of owners to bring their vintage machines to put on display in the town square in the beautiful town of Mercer. There were so many examples of old Harleys, Indian and other machines to drool over. Since it was from my formative years of riding, I was glad to see 1 of the “Great American Freedom Machines” with it’s stock silver flake paint and ‘mod’ art graphics. Unfortunately I had to leave early so I could enter my bike in a show in my hometown. While my bike was too new for the show in Mercer, it was the oldest and dirtiest (rode dirt) bike at home. Here’s just a snippet of what was in Mercer.
