I AM STURGIS

Hello IRON TRADER NEWS Viewers. I have been in contact with movie Producer Bryan H. Carrol in regards to an amazing project this August. I AM STURGIS, a movie dedicated to the Sturgis experience, the beauty, God’s country. I was asked by Bryan to be both a consultant and an advisor during the planning & filming of this amazing project, but as with anything great, help is needed. Please follow this link for a short presentation of what this project is all about. Thanks you !   JACK MCINTYRE

About this project

We made Why We Ride about a community. Now, we want to invite the community to help make our next film: I AM STURGIS.

We’ve received thousands of letters from fans telling us that after seeing Why We Ride they decided to “throw their leg over two-wheels” and become motorcyclists. We can not stop with just one movie. This is now a movement and we would love to have you, the fans, help us continue our mission of promoting what is good about motorcycling with audiences worldwide. This webpage is our crowd funding campaign to achieve that!

We need your help, or this movie won’t get made!

Hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world meet every summer to make this dream a reality. A proud motorcycling tradition for 75 years, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is the heart of the riding community. A place where people from all walks of life become family, instantly connected by their passion for riding and the souls of their machines.

Founder J.C. “Pappy” Hoel and his wife Pearl started the first Jackpine Gypsie race for only a few fans in 1938. Now half-a-million riders converge annually on the small town for an entire week. The Rally has gone through many changes over the years, and this history has become legendary heritage making the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally an international sensation and an integral part of the American experience.

Sturgis is not just a place, it’s a way of life. Woven together by people who live each day to the fullest. Those who dare to dream, discover, and explore the bounds of freedom.

This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. An estimated 1,000,000+ riders will be making the journey this summer to the Black Hills of South Dakota for this anniversary rally celebration. If ever there was a time to make an epic documentary about this great motorcycle gathering, it is now!

We invite you to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime event. Please contribute to our Kickstarter campaign! There’s a great assortment of limited edition I AM STURGIS memorabilia, including a copy of the finished movie. You can even have your name permanently memorialized for generations to see in the credits of the movie!

In short, here’s how you can help!

  • PLEASE PLEDGE. We need your help to make this incredible movie. Become one of our backers. See the list of Rewards below and to the right. Your pledge will allow us to raise the funds needed to start making this movie and continue our mission (started with Why We Ride) of promoting what is good about motorcycling with audiences worldwide.

  • LIKE & FOLLOW us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and stay updated on what’s going on.

In February of this year we visited the South Dakota State Capitol, the City of Sturgis, and many of the local businesses to discuss this film idea with them. They loved it and have agreed to lend any and all assistance with planning, permitting, and help spreading the word about this Kickstarter campaign! Please join them by becoming one of our Backers!

Since its December 2013 release, Why We Ride has quickly become the most critically acclaimed and award winning motorcycle film in the world. The film’s aim is to use the power of cinema to not only entertain but also educate, inspire and celebrate the world of motorcycling with audiences everywhere.

Kickstarter represents one of the best ways to start a new project – because it allows (and relies on) the fans to get involved from the beginning!

We’ve received thousands of letters from fans telling us that after seeing Why We Ride they decided to “throw their leg over two-wheels” and become motorcyclists. We can not stop with just one movie. This is now a movement and we would love to have you, the fans, help us continue telling these inspiring stories about our motorcycle culture.

The estimated production budget for the size and caliber of this film is $1.5 million. At this time, we are currently seeking $350,000 of it here on Kickstarter. This will allow us to begin immediately Then, we will endeavor to raise the additional financing through other sources — unless you all can help us beat our Kickstarter fundraising goal!

Time is of the essence to get started now. If you, the fans, help us then there is virtually nothing that can stop this amazing film from being made! Join us and let’s do this together!

Stretch Goals are milestones that we’d love to achieve that are larger than our $350,000 goal. If we can achieve these Stretch Goals, then we will Reward everyone (meaning all of YOU) with Bonus Rewards at no additional cost to everyone’s Pledge amounts!

Stretch Goals will positively effect our ability to produce this film. By raising more of our financing needs through Kickstater we are able to devote more of time and energy to producing a great film and less resources to searching for the rest of the film’s funding.

Below are our Stretch Goals! With your help, we can reach them! Please share this campaign with your friends. Email them. Post a Backer Image from above (Show Your Support section) on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media sites. Text your friends. Or, do the old fashioned thing and call them and tell them in person to check out this page and consider backing us too!

Risks and challenges

Our previous motorcycle documentary, WHY WE RIDE, took 15 months to make and release. We have designed the I AM STURGIS production plan to follow a similar timeline.

There can be cost over runs and production delays. We can’t promise that we can avoid all challenges. But, what we can promise is that we have assembled an experienced team that knows how to navigate every possible obstacle we will encounter.

We have already researched and found a fulfillment company to assist with processing and sending out all the Rewards. We want this to be the best Kickstarter Movie Campaign you will have ever experienced!

We will communicate to our Backers with frequent updates. If there are any delays, our Backers will be immediately informed and provided with thorough answers and information.
