MILWAUKEE (Aug 6, 2023) — Royal Enfield and Roland Sands Design introduced a fiery new custom-
built Super Meteor 650 at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s “Motorcycles as Art” event during Sturgis Bike Week.
Designed and built as a proper chopper with a creative twist that only Roland Sands could pull off, the bike
will continue to turn heads at Sturgis and beyond.
Roland Sands Design is a motorcycle, product, and apparel company that has its roots in racing, custom bike
building and design, and as such, was a natural fit for this newest collaboration with Royal Enfield’s Custom
World program. After joining forces, Roland Sands Design and Royal Enfield forged a bike that, on its initial
debut Buffalo Chip, has burned its identity into every rider’s frontal lobe. Evolving the Royal Enfield Super
Meteor 650 into a chopper became a unique and collaborative project between two iconic brands that allowed
Sands and his artisans to tap into their collective brilliance by not only creating a stunning chopper, but also
in developing custom engine covers, foot controls, handlebar risers and many other parts to really make the
build stand out.
Sands debuted his Super Meteor 650 in a fitting burnout reveal at the “Motorcycles as Art” event. In a world
of epic cruisers, Royal Enfield’s Custom World and Roland Sands Designs have teamed up to not only flex a
little creative design muscle, but to show what pure motorcycling can offer true enthusiasts.
Introduced overseas in early 2023, the Super Meteor 650 is a cruiser by design, begging to be ridden,
screaming for the open road. With Roland Sands masterminding a sleek and custom build, the bike packs
intense collaborative energy.
Roland Sands will also harness his creation’s dynamic energy for the 16th Annual Buffalo Chip Legends Ride
on Monday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m., starting at the Historic Franklin Hotel in Deadwood and ending at the
Legendary Buffalo Chip Motorcycles As Art display. Stay plugged into Royal Enfield's social media channels
to catch the Roland Sands Design Super Meteor 650 in the big ride, which will raise significant funds for local
charities.
