In August of 2020, Dave Mackie was inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame, located in Sturgis, South Dakota. When asked what it means to be inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame, Dave said, “In the beginning the goal was to win one event, but then we were hooked. We were just out there having fun and pushing the limits. We loved to travel, race and work hard to get better.”
