With its world premiere at Milan Design Week 2026, one of the most influential global platforms for contemporary design held annually, among others, in the city’s vibrant Tortona district, BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, 46240 Bottrop, Germany, Phone +49 (0) 20 41 / 777-0, www.brabus.com) expands its two‑wheeled product portfolio through its collaboration with DAB Motors, introducing an innovative new generation of electric urban motorcycles. Founded in France in 2018, DAB Motors has established itself as a specialist in lightweight electric motorcycles, combining state-of-the-art engineering with a distinctly reduced and design-driven development philosophy. Its focus on high-end architecture, functional integration and precision manufacturing provides the technical foundation for the joint project. “We’re entering a fascinating new segment together with DAB Motors and there’s no better place to do it than Milan Design Week,” explains Constantin Buschmann, CEO and owner of BRABUS. “This event is one of the defining hotspots for tech-forward design and so the perfect stage for us to yet again open up the world of BRABUS to an entirely new range of customers in typical ‘One-Second-Wow’ fashion.” DAB Motors founder Simon Dabadie adds, “This is not a traditional collaboration; it is the progressive construction of a shared vision. Both brands share the same refusal to compromise and the ambition to create rather than to follow. The DAB 1a platform provided the perfect foundation to push the boundaries of what an urban commuter can be.” DAB 1a BRABUS The DAB 1a BRABUS focuses on the visual reinterpretation of the base motorcycle, emphasizing maximum attention to detail and the use of only the highest-quality materials. The result is a clearly defined BRABUS design that enhances the production model while remaining true to the original concept. Finished entirely in black, the electric motorcycle features a range of brand-typical exposed carbon-fiber elements, including the side ducts, engine cover inserts, belly pan and front fender. Additional elements such as glossy black side plates and matte black wheel covers with subtle gray pinstripes introduce a bold interplay between different surface finishes. The seating system is upholstered in Alcantara with gray stitching. BRABUS branding is integrated throughout the motorcycle, ensuring a cohesive and instantly recognizable identity. The DAB 1a BRABUS is powered by an electric motor engineered for immediate response and strong torque delivery. With a rated output of 23 kW / 31 hp and a maximum torque of 395 Nm (291 lb-ft), the system translates electrical energy into instant acceleration—making it ideal for dynamic driving not only in the city but also on the open road. In urban areas, the 72-volt lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 7.1 kWh enables a range of up to 150 kilometers (93 miles). The top speed is 120 km/h (75 mph). The bike’s integrated charging system allows the battery to be replenished from 50 to 100 percent in approximately 90 minutes using a standard 220-volt household outlet. Charging from 20 to 100 percent is completed in only around three hours. A full charge from empty requires approximately three and a half to four hours. A dedicated, custom-fit charging cable is, of course, included as standard. BRABUS URBAN E Building on this foundation, designers, technicians and engineers of both brands developed the BRABUS URBAN E. This version not only features additional exclusive equipment but also an even more powerful drivetrain. Specially programmed engine mapping optimizes throttle response, giving the rider the ability to access even more power even more directly. In addition, a special inverter ensures a higher current flow, resulting in even faster and more powerful power delivery under load. This measure optimizes not only peak power but also the torque curve. Compared to the standard DAB 1a, output is increased by around 20 percent—from 23 kW / 31 hp to 27 kW / 37 hp and from 395 Nm (291 lb-ft) of maximum torque to 475 Nm (350 lb-ft). To ensure full power output even at high temperatures and during continuous operation, the electric motor is supplied with additional cooling air via custom carbon-fiber air ducts on the left and right. The design of the motorcycle is characterized by an unmistakable BRABUS bodywork concept, featuring glossy black surfaces, striking red accents and bespoke carbon-fiber elements. This high-tech composite plays a central role as a defining stylistic feature of the bike’s athletic appearance. Beyond the selection of exposed carbon-fiber elements also featured on the DAB 1a BRABUS model, the BRABUS URBAN E exclusively boasts rear winglets and wheel arch covers made from this material. What is more, the wheels feature additional exposed carbon-fiber covers on both sides, complementing the high-performance tires in the dimensions 120/70 R 17 at the front and 150/60 R17 at the rear. Its unique visual identity is further underlined by the monocoque-style BRABUS “tank”/seat fairing. In addition to the air intakes, the integrated scoops on the left and right also feature vertical daytime running lights. The exclusive look also incorporates the rear BRABUS wheel arch cover and a BRABUS cover for the front section of the frame. The storage compartment integrated in front of the driver’s seat provides space for the included charging cable. The black front mask, featuring an illuminated BRABUS logo framed in exposed carbon fiber, accommodates the 220-volt charging port at the rear. Just below it, a projector headlamp with lens optics ensures excellent illumination of the road ahead. The bike’s tail end is just as distinctive, with a translucent monoblock LED taillight beneath the seat and a license plate holder mounted at the rear wheel. The Supermoto-style handlebar is equipped with controls that include integrated turn signals. The levers and brake fluid reservoirs are CNC-machined from aluminum. The bespoke BRABUS Masterpiece rider’s seat is upholstered in high-quality red leather, further refined by its distinctive and precisely stitched “Shell” quilting pattern. A keyless system allows the BRABUS URBAN E to be started via PIN code, eliminating the need for a physical key. The centrally positioned 2.8-inch LCD display provides all essential information in real time, including speed, battery status, charging progress and system temperature. A unique BRABUS startup animation completes the experience. Multiple riding modes—Eco, Street, Sport, Nitrous and Reverse—enable the rider to adapt the motorcycle’s behavior to a wide range of conditions, each defined by a specific calibration of the vehicle control unit. In Eco mode, the system is engineered for maximum efficiency and low-traction environments, electronically limiting the top speed to 60 km/h (38 mph) while flattening the initial torque curve to prevent wheel slip and optimize energy consumption. Street mode represents the nominal configuration for urban operation, delivering full power through a linear torque map that balances dynamic response with thermal and battery efficiency. Sport mode unlocks the full BRABUS performance enhancement—resulting in significantly more immediate acceleration and a more direct rider response. The Nitrous Boost function acts as an on-demand overboost, temporarily overriding the active riding mode and deploying maximum phase current for up to 10 seconds, enabling rapid overtaking maneuvers when required. Reverse mode utilizes electronic phase inversion with restricted torque and rotational speed, allowing controlled backward movement for precise maneuvering in confined environments. The combination of low overall weight, a precisely tuned chassis and a fully adjustable suspension setup ensures agile handling and a high level of control. At the front, a 46-millimeter (1.8 in.) inverted fork provides precise feedback and stability, while offering full adjustability and 100 millimeters (3.9 in.) of travel. At the rear, a custom CNC-machined shock absorber, also fully adjustable with 100 millimeters (3.9 in.) of travel, enables fine-tuned damping characteristics and balanced ride dynamics across varying road conditions. Braking performance is managed by a high-performance Brembo system. At the front, a radial four-piston caliper acts on a 320-millimeter (12.5 in.) floating disc, delivering strong and consistent deceleration under load. The rear setup consists of a single-piston Brembo caliper paired with a 240-millimeter (9.4 in.) disc. The system is complemented by dual ABS, ensuring optimized braking performance and safety across different riding conditions. CNC-machined brake levers further enhance rider feedback and control. The BRABUS URBAN E is optionally also available in a SUPERBLACK version featuring a full gloss black paint finish and a rider’s seat in matching black BRABUS Masterpiece leather. BRABUS URBAN E FIRST EDITION Making its debut, the BRABUS URBAN E is introduced alongside a strictly limited collector’s edition. Offered under the label BRABUS URBAN E FIRST EDITION, it was developed specifically for discerning enthusiasts with a strong appreciation for exclusive details and individuality. All models feature the same state-of-the-art technical specification as the URBAN E. However, owners can choose from four bespoke BRABUS colors inspired by the world of BRABUS supercars: “Peetch,” “Desert Sand,” “Superviolet,” and “Fusion Red.” Each variant is limited to just ten units and is defined by a fully realized, cohesive design concept, including frames and fairing components finished in the respective color. The “Superviolet” variant also exclusively features additional exposed carbon-fiber body elements. This distinctive concept naturally extends to the exclusive BRABUS Masterpiece rider’s seat, which is upholstered in premium leather likewise matched to the respective color scheme. The result is a striking appearance that encompasses nearly every visible element of the motorcycle. The DAB 1a BRABUS, BRABUS URBAN E and BRABUS URBAN E FIRST EDITION models will initially be available in countries within the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and selected non-European markets that recognize EU type approval. Availability in additional regions will depend on local registration and import regulations as well as market-specific requirements. All models are delivered with a two-year warranty. Visitors of this year’s Milan Design Week can experience the new electric motorcycles from April 20 to 26, 2026 in Milan’s Tortona district.
