Memorial Day Honor Run to Remember Our Fallen Military at the Buffalo Chip 2024

Friend to veterans and military everywhere, Mai Richards donned her combat boots, grabbed her American Flag on a 8 foot pole and took off running 22 miles from Spearfish, SD to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Freedom Field on Memorial Day 2024. Each mile of the run, Mai honored a fallen service member whose name was submitted to her by a friend or family member of the fallen. She also accepted donations to benefit the Buffalo Chip Freedom Celebration. The freedom celebration features a whole day of activities honoring our veterans and active military members every Sturgis Rally. This year’s Freedom Celebration is Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip.
