Yesterday, June 1st 2014, was one of those days that a person never forgets. We assembled at the Indian Larry Motorcycle shop early Sunday morning, folks from all over. Bean’re was there of course brewing everyone hi octane coffee from the Far East, and we as a huge group, just meeting for the first time became instant brothers as we talked outside for hours in prep for this great ride. When the clock hit noon or so, we mounted our bikes and with an unbelievable NYPD escort, we made our way flawlessly over to Long Island. I could barely see the beginning of the line of bikes and hand no idea where it ended behind me. The sky was a stunning color of blue, and the temperature was in the mid 70’s… just about perfect.
Now, our destination was the Emporium in Patchogue, NY (Long Island). From Brooklyn, it was about 102 miles if I clocked it right, really only 50 or so miles, but we took the scenic route. The Emporium was a club of sorts, great lay out, inner stage area, silent auction going on with some great prizes, the raffle bike was present on stage, and the Seeger family was there in force talking and posing for pictures. The food spread for the riders was fantastic, all in all it was just a great day. I could continue to babel on, but you get the idea. CLICK HERE (http://indianlarry.com/aidans-ride/)
to learn more about the ride, the sponsors, the bike raffle, and the awareness of ALD. It’s very very important to learn more & how you can help.
